There is one man responsible for the phone hacking scandal in the UK.

July 7, 2011 3 comments

This one man has been able to control the agenda of the political parties of the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia. He has been able to create and destroy politicians.

This one man has wiped out the differences between the political parties. His empire has dictated the response of politicians to the created issues of the day for at least the last 30 years.

The closure of the News of the World is not enough.

Now is the time for politicians to say no to this man

Rupert Murdoch is not a fit and proper man to take over BSkyB, not is he a fit and proper man for politicians to fawn over.

The disgrace of his paper hacking the telephone of a murdered child as well as war widows should be enough to end his stranglehold over politicians from both sides of the hemisphere and the pond.

Tea Party Terrorists storm the offices of the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

June 28, 2011 1 comment

Leaving drool marks across DC, mouth breathing teabaggers funded by the Koch brothers freedom works campaign stormed the offices of the NRSC to demand the head of Senator Orrin Hatch.

Although no Primary candidate exists, the rent a mob from freedom works demanded that the NRSC keep out of the Utah Primaries, despite having an elected representative, one who has served seven terms.

Hatch who can hardly be described as moderate is opposed by the Tea Party because he can speak in words of more than one syllable. On every major issue, Hatch is a right-winger. However he has had 7 terms in office and to the Koch brothers that meanshe is no longer sufficiently malleable.

The Koch brothers found 60 useful idiots to storm the offices of the NRSC holding signs like “Down with Hatch” and “People choose, not the party.”

An NRSC official told the teabaggers to take their howling outside. Some drooling teabaggers got their tongues stuck on the doormat.

Two Utah residents whose tongues did not drag completely were allowed to meet with Rob Jesmer, the executive director of the NRSC.

According to reports from the Daily Caller, tongue dragger Jacqueline Smith who met with Jesmer demanded that he speaks to Sen. Cornyn to “ask if they would consider changing the rules that would make it so they would only support the Republicans after the primary. Jesmer reportedly said ‘I don’t think that’s going to happen,”

Her tongue would have dropped to the floor at the bluntness of the response but it was pretty much on the floor already.

FreedomWorks is a 501c non-profit, that runs formal boot camps. For their more literate followers they have a required reading list of Saul Alinsky, Frédéric Bastiat and Ayn Rand.

According to Republicans campaigning politically as a non profit should be banned*.

(*This suggestion they may only apply to liberal groups)

“Remarkable”

Dear Mr. President,

I am most grateful for the graciousness and kindness you have shown me and my family – particularly your confidence in my ability to represent you in China. Mary Kaye and I will begin our journey tomorrow – leaving behind a state we love – but also anticipating an extraordinary experience in Beijing. You are a remarkable leader – and it has been a great honor getting to know you.

Jon

So just what will the teabaggers do with this?

The “exciting” Tea Party alternative to “Summer Camp”.

June 17, 2011 4 comments

Summer Camp to Tea Party types has become too socialist. While the idea of going kayaking through rapids or horse riding through mountains may not sound like a horrible commie plot to most people, never underestimate the idiocy of the tea-bagger.

The young child of the knuckle dragging Tea Party type can expect to look forward to:

“learning the principles of liberty, free markets, and limited government. They will also learn the values of personal responsibility, faith, courage, hard work, reverence and thrift.”

Jeff Lukens, of “American Thinker” irrelevance promises much excitement

“We want to impart to our children what our nation is about, and what they may or may not be told,” Lukens said.

He said he was not familiar with public school curriculum, but, “I do know they have a lot of political correctness. We are a faithful people, and when you talk about natural law, you have to talk about God. When you take that out of the discussion, you miss the whole thing.”

Exciting activities include winning hard candies that get replaced by “paper money” by a banker. Over time, the paper loses its value, while the gold standard hard candies retain their value. All this to excitingly teach the poor offspring of a Tea Party type the value of the gold standard.

Presumably, to fully teach Republican values, the banker will then demand half of everyones remaining money because he is about to declare bankruptcy and he then relends that money back out to them at an exorbitant rate.

To excitingly and accurately teach the children about other cultures and how America is Number One, they will be made to go in to an “austere” room and forced in to silence. This is to teach the children about Europe. They can then go through an exciting obstacle course to arrive in a brightly painted room known as “The New World”. Camp site managers will then throw red white abd blue confetti for “fun”, after which the children will be excitedly forced to clean up the confetti. This supposedly teaches them with “freedom comes responsibility”.

Children will then excitedly blow bubbles from a single container of soapy solution, and then pop each other’s bubbles with squirt guns “in an arrangement that mimics socialism”. They are to count how many bubbles they pop. Then they will work with individual bottles of solution and pop their own bubbles. “What they will find out is that you can do a lot more with individual freedom”

If enough Tea baggers inflict this child abuse sign up for this exciting summer camp, The Tampa 912 project wants to bring their special brand of greed based education to a school near you.

Their founding principles make for great reading :-

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.

Tell that to a policeman.

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

Doesn’t that conflict with 4?

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

I thought government encourages charitable giving via tax breaks? Oh, they mean taxes for the supply of things like the emergency services, social security, roads.

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.

Unless of course the President is a Republican.

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

Go to an army base and say that.

12 Values: Honesty, Reverence, Hope, Thrift, Humility, Charity, Sincerity, Moderation, Hard Work, Courage, Personal Responsibility, and Gratitude.

Moderation? I thought supporting moderates, aka RINOs was a No No to Teabaggers.

Chris Christie – living high on the hog

Chris Christie - living it large

Fiscal Conservatism only applies to the little people with the GOP of today.

Chris Christie created a financial black-hole for the State of New Jersey by cutting taxes for the richest 16,000 New Jersey residents. He then cut taxes for them again, and only few days after saying New Jersey is so broke it must cut medical benefits for retirees and permanently freeze their pensions Christie said he wanted more tax cuts for the richest in New Jersey (note – not for everyone – just the richest). Middle-class families lost their property tax rebates so they faced tax hikes.

Schools lost nearly $1 billion in funding, their biggest hit ever. Thousands of working poor families were closed out of health care programs.State scholarship programs were run dry – removing the very ladder that helped turn the “American Dream” in to a reality. The incompetence of his Office cost the State another £400 million in Federal Revenues for schools.

All of that makes him a hero to the Republican Party. His tax cuts to the richest 16,000 New Jersey residents cost the City over $1billion. 10% of New Jersey budget revenues.

So while slashing services for the poorest and taxes for the richest what does the man who is bankrupting New Jersey do? He used a state helicopter to ferry him to his a high school baseball game his son was playing in. That wasn’t enough, even though a Governor’s helicopter arriving at a school would have been a whale of an entrance, the Governor decided that the 100 yard walk between the helicopter and the match was too much. So he ordered a limo to drive him that extra 100 yards. He then got bored of the match and walked off, via the pitch stopping play.

He then took that same ride back to meet some of the 16,000 richest New Jersey residents for a Republican fund raiser, that also involved Iowa’s top Republicans encouraging him to enter the Presidential race. The dinner was nothing to do with State business.

The spokesman for the Governor declared – there was nothing inappropriate.

Hmmm. I seem to remember Christie thought there was nothing inappropriate about billing the taxpayers of New Jersey $400 a night for hotel stays either. Remember it is ok if you are a Republican.

Tim Pawlenty releases his campaign video

It is becoming increasingly difficult to spot the difference between campaign videos for Republican Primary candidates.

Tim Pawlenty released his campaign video in a celebration of all that is black and white.

Sorry wrong video, that one may have been more honest about Republican plans for the US economy. I think this is the proper one but it is hard to tell the difference as all they seem to have added is music, balloons and an attack on those music and balloons.

So yet another Republican is promising a land of milk and honey, provided that enough ordinary people slash their benefits to give tax cuts to billionaires. Pawlenty is calling Republican voters stupid and he hopes to bilk them for money.

His campaign has about as much chance of happening as the “rapture” that was also promised to GOP fundies.

His qualification for GOP Presidential candidate, he isn’t the idiot that named their sons after an athletic event, Track Enfield, or the disability Trisomy G.

EVERY Republican who voted for their budget in the House voted to increase borrowing.

April 30, 2011 2 comments

Each and every single Republican who voted for their budget voted for a plan that will run budget deficits for the next 30 years. That means they committed themselves to annual increases in the debt limit for the next 30 years.

All that debt they want the US Government to get into will be used to fund the lowest top rate tax of any major Industrial Nation (I would say any nation but their Ayn Rand dream of Somalia is out there).

So for Republicans to say they are against raising the debt limit are they really expecting people to be that stupid?

Sarah Plain was dragged out by Fox from the broom cupboard they are now hiding her in to come up with some unintelligible word salad for Teabaggers such as Allen West to get in line behind

Hells no, I would not vote to increase that debt ceiling. Otherwise it just shows the American people we’re not serious yet. We’re still going to incur more debt. No and we don’t have to increase the debt ceiling in the next few weeks. It turns my stomach to hear this assumption articulated that “well we have to” despite the fact we’re raking in, the federal government, six billion a day. Take that money and service our debt first and pay down some of that debt. Make sure that we’re showing the international financial markets and our lenders that we’re serious about getting our debt and our deficit problems under control.

I would say before you think about seriously voting to increase the debt limit and incur more unsustainable, immoral, unethical debt that is really going to ruin our country to continue down this path, prioritize. Service the debt first. Pay for the very essential services that are constitutionally mandated. Let the states take care of a whole lot of these services and projects and if a state wants to do something a little bit special like some extra roads, or extra museums and monuments and cowboy poetry, let that state figure out how they’re going to pay for it.

Republicans, beyond stupid.

Hey Donald, show us your draft card

The Birthers choice may have a few issues of his own

http://www.crowleypoliticalreport.com/2011/04/did-donal…

In 1964, at the age of 18, Trump would have been required to register with the Selective Service at his draft board.

Did he? What was his classification? Did he receive a deferment?

In 1968, when Trump left college at the age of 22, he would have been ripe for the draft unless there was a deferment for real estate executives.

Trump has bragged about going to military school and being a star athlete but he was also a no-show at military enlistment offices.

So in the spirit of asking for birth certificates (has anyone seen Trump’s), let’s see Trump’s draft card and deferment records.

And perhaps he can explain how he managed to avoid the draft – especially after graduating from college in 1968

Republican draft dodger and chicken hawk, he totally fits the new GOP.
