Good morning Bridget & all of you wonderful HillBuzzers! I really like Rick Santorum and thought he did a great job in Monday’s debate. I wanted to do a new post about why he is the most qualified candidate in the current field, but I got derailed & was deeply saddened by all the hate I saw when I tried to research him. I don’t care what your political ideology is, the degrading defamation of Rick Santorum’s very name IS an attack on our entire society, even our children, because it is now completely unsafe to allow a child to do any sort of online research about candidates for POTUS. This man has children and now their names have become x-rated horrors. The guy behind the atrocity is, ironically, the guy behind the “it gets better” so called anti-bullying campaign that Obama supports & made a video for. An anti-bullying campaign by the most vicious cyber bully in America.

I think the lack of coverage of Rick Santorum’s excellent credentials is a direct result of this nasty bullying – people are afraid to even use the man’s name because of what those vile hateful jackals have done. I would even denounce such an attack if it were directed at Obama (who I can’t stand) because it is so over the top evil and cruel. All decent people need to stand up against this, or you’ll see more of the same and not just against RS.
Of course no mention of Santorum is complete without a direct link to the definition of Santorum. We should all spread the definition of Santorum.

People will stop linking the Santorum to the slimy messy substance, should that slimy messy substance stop using his place in Party politics as a platform to spread homophobia.

The appearance of a conflict of interest merits recusal under federal law. From what we have already seen, the line between your impartiality and you and your wife’s financial stake in the overturn of healthcare reform is blurred. Your spouse is advertising herself as a lobbyist who has “experience and connections” and appeals to clients who want a particular decision – they want to overturn health care reform. Moreover, your failure to disclose Ginny Thomas’s receipt of $686,589 from the Heritage Foundation, a prominent opponent of healthcare reform, between 2003 and 2007 has raised great concern.
This is not the first case where your impartiality was in question. As Common Cause points out, you “participated in secretive political strategy sessions, perhaps while the case was pending, with corporate leaders whose political aims were advanced by the <5-4> decision” on the Citizens United case. Your spouse also received an undisclosed salary paid for by undisclosed donors as CEO of Liberty Central, a 501(c)(4) organization that stood to benefit from the decision and played an active role in the 2010 elections.
Given these facts, there is a strong conflict between the Thomas household’s financial gain through your spouse’s activities and your role as an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. We urge you to recuse yourself from this case. If the US Supreme Court’s decision is to be viewed as legitimate by the American people, this is the only correct path.

Do I think Representative Weiner should resign, after all I would certainly support a Republican resigning over this? No – precisely because of why I would suggest that the Republican should resign.
Tell me one time Weiner spoke as a moral conservative, legislated as a moral conservative or preached as a moral conservative. If you can find a time where he has preached morality for ye but not for thee, then I will agree he should resign.
As far as I know he has not done, so then it is a matter between him, his wife and their families. The bedroom, his bedroom where conservatives want big government and liberals want it shrunk to the size of a Santorum wipe.

Michelle Obama arranged for this to happen by persuading Beyoncé to film the music video to “Move your body” with school children as part of her anti-obesity drive. While the intent was never to make this a political video, Republicans have of course gone on the attack.
Republicans claimed that the child-nutrition legislation she backed in Congress would bring about the end of school bake sales. They claimed that her work with the National Restaurant Association to develop healthier menu choices was a government takeover of restaurants.
They even claimed that an increase in pedestrian deaths was because of the First Lady’s campaign to encourage walking.
Thankfully Rush Limbaugh committed himself and his followers to eating themselves to heart attacks. “If we are supposed to eat roots, berries and tree bark, show us how.”
Whoever would have thought that a song to encourage moving and a campaign to encourage healthy eating would have caused Republicans to commit themselves to obesity?
Maybe the First Lady should help sponsor the Samaritans.

In reading our blog, we seem to hitting against a new issue – the issue of racism. I would make the same request of our viewers. There are many wonderful national organization devoted to speaking out against racism. For those of you that find your life impacted by the color of your skin, you will probably prefer to join organizations which are devoted to that important issue.
Senator, I implore you. Do not lend credibility to these bunch of racist Palinites.
